All about Cookies

Cookies are small data files placed on your PC by some websites you visit. A cookie can store your personal information after you enter it online. For example, if you type in your credit card number, a cookie might store it until you come back next time. This is not in itself a bad idea; most shopping sites use cookies completely legitimately so you don't need to keep entering your personal details.

But problems can occur when other people on the Internet decide to use your credit card, too, by hacking into your computer and retrieving the information from the cookies stored!
