Sh'khinah / Shekinah (n.) Judaism A visible manifestation of the Divine Presence when resting or dwelling in the Tabernacle, or in the Temple of Solomon. An extra-biblical expression from a Hebrew word that literally means "he caused to dwell", signifying that it was a Divine visitation of the Presence or dwelling of Yahweh. [El Shaddai], and the Lamb [Christ], are its Temple. The city has no need for the sun, neither of the moon, to shine, for the very glory [Sh'khinah] of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb."
